Water Lilies
These are beautiful water lilies. I have heard many lyricst (s) especially in tamil songs singing about the wonder of water lilies. That this beautiful flower lives and thrives above murky waters - how true. They seem to bloom early morning. I had this shot while was away @ boot camp @ Ulu Pangsun KL. Love the pinkiness of the flower! Awesome wonder of mother nature. One of my favourite flowers.

ICTIY
These are the lights you can see @ ICity. Beautifully lit. It was hot though as there were too many lights surrounding the whole park. I like the one in red ,where it looks like it is beckoning the moon. We walked through a maze of beautiful lit
trees - not real trees tho, its all man made.
As it was during Chap Goh Mei the 15th day after CNY, the place was decorated with the motif of lemon /lime tree (symbolic to CNY).
ICITY, Shah Alam
Heard about this place. So i made a trip to this place somewhere in Shah Alam. If you wish to go there, please google and you will be able to find the location. I went berserk as my main aim was to take pictures of this place. I was totally fascinated with this place. Went there sometime last year in February 2010, just after CNY . The place was pretty hot though, i suppose with all the lights and the amount of energy in the air. If you were to drive along the Federal Highway in the night , you should be able to see it - somewhere along the Sg. Rasau toll booth.
Am i a thinking photographer? No i am not. Why do i say that. I am just like any other person who has a camera, just snap away. Being digital and simple, i simply click away without thinking what i really what to snap , and that is how i ended up with 600 over pictures for this collection of indian classical dance. I go crazy, i just keep snapping away- hoping to get the one best shot.At the end of it all i will end up with hundreds of shots. When i go through them all, i will not have the heart to discard any one of them. As a result i end up with thousands of pictures. That is why i am trying to find a fast and easy way to keep all this pictures safe and sound. One of it is through this newly created blog. I also have a paying account with flickr where i have over 2ooo pictures stored. In my laptop - i have over 10000 (yes!) pictures...i will need to transfer all this pictures before it's too late.
Bharata Natyam or Indian Classical Dance
Indian Classical Dance or Bharata Natyam . I attended a show sometime last year (2010) in which my cousin's wife is a certified dancer. I went armed with my Canon DSLR . There were reporters from the Tamil papers i.e. Tamil Nesan, Makkal Osai and guess what , they thought i was one of them too (looking at my camera). Hi hi hi! Imagine me a reporter.! There was another time - while i was in Penang for Thaipusam, a friend of my husband's thought i am a journalist..now why do people think that way.Is it not common to see a someone , especially a lady to hold a DSLR ? hmmmm...Well anyway back to my original story, here a some pictures (which i personally enjoy) of indian classical dance.
Through the window
When you look out the window, somethings ordinary may suddenly look so extraordinary. This is what i saw one day when i looked out my office window one fine evening. The sky was beautiful and i had my point and shoot with me. And hey presto , here are the images. I simply love the blue skies and everything nice. It's not everyday we get to see images like this - cloudy blue sky. Or is it that we are so caught up that we never really stop to smell the roses! There are so many beautiful things out there, ever since i started photography (well not professionally) but i tend to look out for things (which i never used to do before) to shoot.

The other side of Brickfields
Scenes @ Brickfields
I was @ Brickfields for lunch , it's near my working place, so at times we drive to this place for some good vegetarian indian lunch at some great banana leaf restaurant. After a hearty lunch,we normally stroll (yes all in an hours time mind you) for a quick window shopping for some accesories and not forgetting our favourite nyonya kuihs next to YMCA building. I do not have pictures of her kuihs but it is to die for. Check out the flower shops and the posters ad on tamil movies.Isn't it great? I love Malaysia for its multitude culture and diversity . Don't you?
